Water System Updates
In response to recent questions from customers arising from the publicity of lead contamination issues in the potable water across the nation, and the more recent reports of the lead in drinking water at local Ithaca schools, Chris Bordlemay, Cornell Water/Wastewater Manager, has written an open letter and responses to frequently asked questions as it relates to the Cornell University Water System. More information can be found in the Cornell Chronicle at the following link.
Water Quality Reports
Every year, a water quality report is prepared based upon the past year's activities. We take great pride in the work that we do and we invite you to read these very informative reports. In the interest of sustainability these water quality reports will be in electronic format rather than paper.
For more information on the Unregulated Contaminant Monitoring Rule - 3 (UCMR3), for Cornell's Water Filtration Plant, please see the attached spreadsheet.
Please feel free to contact the Water Filtration Plant directly if you have questions regarding the report or the water system in general. We do have a limited supply of paper reports if you have difficulty viewing the link. Simply request a paper report by contacting Chris Bordlemay, firstname.lastname@example.org, and we'll do our best to deliver it to you.
